I have a Ducky One TKL mech. Would the Gaijin and Blocknet kits cover all the keys and fit properly? I'm still kinda new to mechs so I'm not sure how to easily tell if it will cover all the keys in a TKL and fit properly.
wwangfit? yeah it's all standard but coverage? I'm sorry to say Gaijin + Blocknet would only cover a 60% as they don't include the function row or nav cluster keys so you'd need the Cyberdeck kit
KatakainThis makes me sad. It feel kinda backwards to buy a 100 bucks set to use like 1/4 caps from it :(

KatakainYou can always just fill in the rest with the novelties if you wanted. There are enough that between them, Gaijin/Kobe, and Blocknet you can cover a TKL board.
That said I'm probably still going to pick up Cyberdeck too, because I have absolutely no self control...
KatakainSorry I'm not super familiar with the terminology. So if I just got the Gaijin/Blocknet, I just would not be able to cover Esc, F1-F12, PrtSc, ScrLk, Pause, Ins, Home, PgUp, Del, End, PgDn but everything else is fine?
Would there be extra caps left unused in the Gaijin/Blocknet kits that I could use to cover some of the remaining keys?
wwangYou're correct - you'd be missing all the function keys pretty much - the top row (ESC and FN 1 through 12 as you said) and the nav cluster (PS, Pause, Del, etc).
You won't have enough keys with just Gaijin + Blocknet no matter how you spin it, unfortunately. You have two alternatives:
1. Buy the base on top of those 2 kits, which really is a great idea unless you're SUPER hard pressed for money because once you receive the set in a few month's time you'll be able to just take away the function keys you need for yourself and sell the reminder of the base for like a 60% profit on mechmarket.
2. Buy Mitowaves and use novelties in place of the function keys that you need to cover. This would be the best way to go about it if you're struggling to justify the cost at this very moment since those will probably end up setting you back like 40 bucks max instead of 110.
VigrithThe arrow keys would be covered though right? If that’s the case I might just stick with those 2 kits and leave the rest default. I have a Ducky One TKL Blue LED so I think it would still fit pretty well, and I don’t really want to be dropping another 40 bucks
