Looks a LOT like a DROP ALT with a strange finish to me. I really do like the ALT regardless of some negative press it has received over the years. I'm not at all drawn to the finish on this thing. To each his or her own. It's not that I can't afford it, I simply don't care enough for it to buy one.

No one is losing their mind except for the guys commenting about the pricing because they can't afford it. This is the world of keyboards and it either sucks you in or you tap out but if you think $400 is too much for a fully capped and lubed board then you'll go insane when you see us psycho's paying $1k for one key cap. Might as well open an asylum since there's lots of us deranged keyboard junkies running amuck. 🤯
Great looking board MassDrop. Wish there was a sound test video included for those of us addicted to a certain noise tone.

Not wanting to hate on anything but, this sums up my thoughts on the finish. I personally dislike it enough that I wouldn't pat $99 for it with the finish shown. "Rainbow" .... indeed it is.

Looking at Drop's pricing for all of the pieces, this is actually a slight discount. At the current prices, the total for everything is (board @ 199, caps at 79, cable at 70, switches at $1/each comes up to 67) $417. Whether you think Drop's current prices for all the pieces is fair is another thing, though.
