The Durgod Fusion is a wireless mechanical keyboard that delivers a slate of modern features while taking you back to the good old days where most keyboards were built to last. A sturdy, substantial plastic case gives the keyboard a solid foundation for typing, while Cherry MX switches are soldered in to provide a satisfying, precise feel Read More
I have a lot of keyboards. This one is pretty rad!!!
(I didn't manage to "go" for this one when it was on Drop last time. I ended up getting it somewhere else. Does anyone want a long drawn out post on keyboards shoved in here?! lol)
How does one type ~/` on such a keyboard?
On my HHKB/Truefox it's over in the backspace's usual spot. Is it just not an option on these without remapping?
Not sure about this exact model, but on most of my 60% boards, Esc is Esc if tapped by itself, but Shift and Esc together makes ~, and Alt and Esc makes `.
For this board it's under the function layer. Fn+Esc is `, and Shift+Fn+Esc is ~. One gotcha is that by default Shift isn't mapped on the Fn layer so you have to make sure to press Shift, then Fn, then Esc. This can be fixed by mapping Shift on the Fn layer in Zeus (the Durgod keyboard configuration tool).
Looks awesome. Shame about the switches. I don’t even need hotswap per se, just… why does Drop pretend MX Cherry Clears aren’t a thing? I love clears. Clears are some of the best switches around. Yet every time there’s a Cherry-switch keyboard it’s like Browns, Reds, Browns, Browns, and Blues that are fun for about 10 minutes and then you’re like wow never again. Oh! And Browns!
"Cherry MX switches are soldered in to provide a satisfying, precise feel" I don't think I have ever seen a keyboard description this creative to sell a non-hotswap board as a GOOD thing. Honestly would have ordered if it were hotswap.
