I bought this off Amazon and love it. Great price audit does everything: wood to tile to carpet without a hitch. I love that I can place it up stairs and it stops before tumbling down the stairs.

This unit is like the old Roombas - it simply wanders around doing collision detection and edge detection, it does not 'map' the area it needs to clean and recognize it on subsequent runs - correct?
This strategy has never worked for our open-plan areas and all the suction and brushes in the world are not going to solve aimless wandering.

What happens in large rooms if the battery dies mid cleaning? Will it return to the charging station and pick up where it left off?

oh I'm sorry that i'm not sure.. I just know mine will go back to charge when it's running low..
not sure about returning to the same spot after that... my bad

With WiFi connection does it map rooms? I figure that and then Alexa connectivity is probably what that would be used for, but don't see it mentioned.
