Take your PCBA one step closer to a completed board with a set of Panda Gold-Plated Stabilizers from Everglide. True to their name, these stabilizers feature gold-plated alloy wires, which have superior hardness and oxidation resistance compared to traditional metal wires Read More
For anyone looking to modify their stabilizers, I would highly recommend following :3wildcat's video here - https://youtu.be/qnFnjbpPESI?t=93
Plate mounted stabilizers fit looser and less secure than PCB mounted ones, but with some proper modifications they can sound quite well. Remember to lube and clip them!
They might be considered looser and less secure than screw-in PCB stabs, but these are extremely tight- at least in the Alt.
I got these stabilizers from a different source, and while lubing them is essential (especially dielectric grease on the bar), I did not notice any difference from clipping them.
There are still extra legs on these stabilizers, but they do not have the 90 degree feet that bend and makes for a mushy feel. I put a keycap on my stock cherry-style Alt stabilizers and compared them to clipped Cherry style stem and stock Everglides, and only the stock Cherry-style stabilizers had any mush in them. Just to verify, I had an extra pair of 2U Everglides (since the Alt doesn't use a stabilized right shift key) that I clipped completely flat put on my Alt to test and also didn't really notice a difference. I was wondering if others had a similar experience or if I'm insensitive =)
Kind of a horrible value. Yeah, it comes with enough for a fullsize with both spacebar sizes, but you can get them for your specific board on Aliexpress for half the price and free shipping(if you don't care to wait longer).
