Working with FOX to create the Irves knife, designer Andreas Weitzel wanted something that could handle “hard work in all situations.” To accomplish his goal, he started by outfitting the Irves with a heavy-duty drop point blade made from N690 steel and coated with PVD for extra durability. You are a genius in making bad choices if you can do any worse than this.

I feel like this company/designer is way out of touch with the market. Short blade for a 5.11” handle. 8+oz geez, that’s like 4max scout size. People can get a cold steel recon 1 that’s cheaper, has better steel, stronger lock, lighter, more balanced and has similar handle size. There are just so many alternatives in the market for this price that have better design, stronger, lighter etc.

Under the ounce per inch that people are always looking for. Nice! :D

Blade stock is too thin to weigh that much and claim to accomplish the functions it does. I do like the utilitarian look of the clip fasteners and the fuller. Like Tommy Lee Jones from the Hunted made it on the fly to fight Del Toro.

What in the world makes this one $70 more than the other Fox FXMTF5 that's also running right now? The thicker G10? 🤣

it's like they looked at the specs of an AD-10 and decided they could wing it and make an equally neat knife

Sharp19319Not much point of carrying bricks around with you 🤷‍♂️ unless you military i guess or an officer who needs something indestructible but even then there is plenty of lighter knives like that on the market.
