Hmmm...so I ordered some of the silent inks from another place and they got here yesterday. Can't say I'm overly impressed. They're only a slight bit quieter than Kailh Burgundies, but with a lower thud, and they appear to stick upon pressing on occasion. Both of those switches have about the same tangy echo. They're a bit stiffer, which I expected for the force signature, but I also expect them to loosen up over time, so we'll see. I haven't lubed them yet, so that might also make a difference here. EDIT: Correction...now that I've used them for a day, they've loosened up and are quieter than the Burgundies. I don't know if I like them enough yet to fill a board, yet. So far, though...they're not too bad. What I definitely don't like about them is that the caps don't sit evenly on them, and since I've tried different caps, it's not the cap. Some sit lower than others. Perhaps the non-silent version of this wouldn't have that problem? The other thing I'm noticing is that because these have a discolored housing, the lighting of my board is off. White looks redish now. EDIT: I was unfair. I apparently trimmed off the middle (plastic) pin for plate mounting only to realize that the reason some of the stems stick in the downward position is because I trimmed off too much and there was a hole the stem would depress too far down into. This caused my problem.
