Between these and the DT770, which one would be better for gaming?

DominusVobiscumNeither, get some open backs. the HD6XX, HD600, HD58X, Fidelio X2, the AKG K7XX. Need that open sound stage for positional audio.

KethI already have an HD6XX, HD58X and K712 Pros. I was looking for a specifically closed back pair for a noisy environment.

DominusVobiscumCheck out the NAD Viso HP50, it's in the same $150-$200 price range and has a great sound stage for closed back cans.

DominusVobiscumGo for the Sony 1000Xm3. Amazing sound quality, not noise from inside/out and outside/in, confortable and lightweight..., amazing battery life. I have many headphones and these sony 1000 became my choice for all listening outside the house and i side whenever is required as I have many headphones to choose from. I absolutely love also the Sony MDR Z7.

DominusVobiscumI have god tier headphones that include the Focal Elex. One of my top gaming cans are the DT770 bc I like the sound they provide, the isolation, the boominess that seems to echo in the wonderfully fun plastic cups, and they are not delicate. I also use others, including the Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma V2, or Philips SHP9500 which can fit a V-Moda BoomPro. These have a sound signature I like for gaming. I'm a firm believer in having science for sound, which can be geared for classical, rock, jazz, dubstep, movies, gaming, competitive gaming, etc. If you want the competitive edge, get good IEMs with good treble and a pair of shooting ear muffs to wear over them. If you may be rough on your headphones, the GermanMaestros may be a great option for you, and you can probably hook up a BoomPro.

JJDeviloperJust curious why you think IEM's would be better for gaming over open back? I recently began my plunge down the rabbit hole of IEM's and love the portablility but hadn't used for gaming yet.

AgntDigglerUsually more isolation especially if wearing over ears or shooting ear muffs over them, drivers closer to ears, usually better treble for footsteps, more light weight and less distracting, especially if they stay in well. Due to their shape, Urbanears Sumpan earbuds stay in well, Tin T3 has an excellent cable that match the IEMs that prevent them from falling out and they have terrific treble, BGVP DMGs stay so well in the ears it's ridiculous, you will likely never have to worry about them falling out. Philips and Focal make great IEMs but if they fall out during gameplay that robs you of the advantage you got from choosing IEMs or earbuds over over ears. 😁 I recommend trying out BGVP DMGs on Drop and also grabbing a pair of Urbanears Sumpan bc they're cheap and durable, usually between $11 and $30 on Amazon. Use what you like and the Urbanears are great for going out
