At this price, will anyone recommend putting 50$ extra for the Meze 99 Noir or stay with this ones?

I just updated my review after a change of earpads. I personally feel that it might be a better option than the extra $50 for the Meze unless looks & style matter to you more. A lot also depends on what sound profile you prefer.

Thank you for your update, I will be keeping these under the radar and I will also look on the replacements pads. Thanks

I would like to be able to use these for gaming on the PS4 once in a while (combined with a v-moda boompro microphone). Would the PS4 be capable of providing enough volume when connected through the controller?
I find that my DT770's only just reach acceptable volume levels with sound level at max, but when you feel like cranking it and really jamming there's nothing left to give.

Let's make it happen. 2 more to go. I joined for them as I can still return my Beyerdynamic DT 770 80 ohm. I have been listening to the DT 770 for the past week. Great headphone, but the mids are a bit too recessed (or not full enough) for my tastes. Much preferred the mids on Sennheiser HD 569, but the subbass was a bit lacking, and the headphone had some resonance issues that bothered me with several songs / frequencies. From the reviews the GMP 8.35 seem exactly what I need. A tighter bass than the DT 770, fuller mids, good highs with no sibilance and no resonance issues.

Between these and the DT770, which one would be better for gaming?

Just curious why you think IEM's would be better for gaming over open back? I recently began my plunge down the rabbit hole of IEM's and love the portablility but hadn't used for gaming yet.

Usually more isolation especially if wearing over ears or shooting ear muffs over them, drivers closer to ears, usually better treble for footsteps, more light weight and less distracting, especially if they stay in well. Due to their shape, Urbanears Sumpan earbuds stay in well, Tin T3 has an excellent cable that match the IEMs that prevent them from falling out and they have terrific treble, BGVP DMGs stay so well in the ears it's ridiculous, you will likely never have to worry about them falling out. Philips and Focal make great IEMs but if they fall out during gameplay that robs you of the advantage you got from choosing IEMs or earbuds over over ears. 😁 I recommend trying out BGVP DMGs on Drop and also grabbing a pair of Urbanears Sumpan bc they're cheap and durable, usually between $11 and $30 on Amazon. Use what you like and the Urbanears are great for going out

Just joined this drop again! I didn't receive them the last time & MD had to give me a refund. I'm hoping to receive them this time since I've got all of these cables I purchased in anticipation of the last time...…...

I really like the raised buttons & their spacing on the Jili. It makes it much easier to operate. The remote is supposed to be universal but I haven't been able to try it out yet. The New Fantasia is specifically designed for android phones which is what I have so I'll also see how it fares.
I've been using a Neomusica cable for my HD 25's for over a year with no durability issues. It actually sounds better than the stock Sennheiser cable. The only minor annoyance is that the remote's forward & back buttons don't work with my android phone. It does play/pause & answer phone calls though.
FYI...….. Neomusica/New Fantasia are the same cables as far as I can tell Rebranded cables from the same OEM.

I purchased these in a previous drop. Very satisfied for the price, the sound is quite good, the headphones are sturdy and if you're working in an office environment the leakage is tiny, you can crank the volume and anything below ear-bleed levels won't seep through. (Play your Hanson and Nickelback in confidence.)

The comfort is very obvious, maestro pad is not the best, damn not even on the good side but the sound image (sound separation) is reasonable good and not bassy for close back, very good. I am waiting for a new hybrid pad for my headphone, really looking forward to it.

Got an Oyaide HPC-MSL cable to use with my 8.35d today. It really takes the 8.35d to another level in resolution. The 8.35d drivers really have great potential!

Yes they do. I have an old pair that I’ve done some mods too to get the little bit ”seashell sound” out of them. A couple cotton balls really did the trick. Now that it’s much easier to change the cable, these things are really capable!
