I don't think these could look more German if they tried!

Why would anyone buy these over a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO’s for example?? Larger frequency response, lighter, larger/more comfortable earpads, etc, etc....

I only used the 770’s as an example for a direct comparison to the GMP’s....so not sure what your point is?

Have you listened to both? I honestly prefer the GMP sound, better fit on my head, removable cable. At their biggest size the DT series are still a little small on my big head.

Does anybody remember the Nakamichi listening booths they used to have at HMV to preview albums? These headphones remind me so much of those. (Design-wise)

So, what size pads would fit these? I would like a pair of leather memory foam pads for this but unsure which brand or model to get. I see someone used Brainwavz but which model fits best?

Thanks for the update. Turns out I bought Dekoni pads for my Emu bamboo and had their stock pads and they too fit but required a bit of stretching but fit and are similar to the shape of the stock 8.35 pads but softer and thicker. I am actually pretty pleased with the 8.35 stock pads. They are definitely cheaper feeling but obviously fit perfect, sound great and feel fine on head. Might just stick with stock.

Yeah, I had been using the velour pads up to today and I really didn't have any complaints with them either, though I expect they might get warm in the summer. The 8.35 needed some burn in time, but I am enjoying the headphones.

I’ve recently bent the jack on my beloved MDR-7506 studio headphones. So I need a new pair of headphones. I’m now in for this set, as they certainly appear very robust. (And the replaceable cable is what really sold me right now) Im going on faith that I’ll like the sound and hope they will be comfortable, but such is the way of things right? 😉

For anybody interested, I have a pair I can sell for $80 without pads. Unfortunately my left pad is too loose to fit on properly, I have to tape it just to stay on. But the headphone is in perfect condition. You can get new pads off the German maestro site. I had to buy them because they didn't even send me the velour pads with this drop like they advertised.

Is your pair still available? Is it the exact same mobile version with a removable cable?

Drop needs to up their game with the descriptions: We hardly ever know if headphones are around-ear (circumaural, full size) or on-ear (supra-aural). Jack = female, plug = male.

At this price, will anyone recommend putting 50$ extra for the Meze 99 Noir or stay with this ones?

I would like to be able to use these for gaming on the PS4 once in a while (combined with a v-moda boompro microphone). Would the PS4 be capable of providing enough volume when connected through the controller?
I find that my DT770's only just reach acceptable volume levels with sound level at max, but when you feel like cranking it and really jamming there's nothing left to give.
