When I look for a Mercedes Benz, I try to find the cheapest $25 tires to ride it on.
When I look for a 1080ti GPU, I look for the shittiest Bronze PSU to play it on. Cause I'm that badass.
Fight me, bruh. I'm the intended customer for this drop.
Hello Everyone,
I want to apologize for not answering the question sooner that is on so many of your minds. For those in the community who know me I am very diligent in getting information from our vendor partners and passing it onto the community as fast as I can.
First, since there has been some discussion about it I want to make sure everyone is clear that this is a drop for the Gigabyte Aorus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11G version. NOT the extreme. It will have a 3 year warranty directly with Gigabyte.
Next, I just got word back from Gigabyte that everyone participating in this drop will in fact get a Destiny 2 code. This code will be emailed to you a week or so after the drop ends. You will need to download the Geforce Experience from NVIDIA here (http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience) and then follow the instructions listed below.
Lastly, for those of you who did participate in the Extreme drop that preceded this one, I will personally make sure you also get the Destiny 2 gaming codes.
@ahuman22 @Shinigami84 @robert_dykes @Anzial @NightFury @tyerker @tanvir175
If I missed anyone I am sorry. Please help spread the word and @Anzial thanks for having faith.
Cheers.

  7. Log in with your Blizzard account.
  8. Confirm your account and click “REDEEM”.
  9. Congratulations you’ve successfully redeemed your code for Destiny 2.
  10. Destiny 2 will be added to your “GAMES” Tab in the Blizzard Desktop App prior to the PC Game Launch.

Tex-ArozziDear Brian, Can we have this re-dropped sometime soon?
Howdy Everyone,
I just wanted to make sure everyone is aware that an email was sent out with 3 options for you to choose from to be taken care of on the mis-shipment. Please make sure you look for this email and respond back ASAP. Again, we are very sorry for this inconvenience and appreciate your patients and working with us to get this resolved.
I also want to clear up why Domestic Customers were offered $100 as a partial refund while International Customers were offered $150 as a partial refund. Simply put there were offered $50 more because of the high shipping charges they have to pay to get the product in the first place and the extended wait times they have before receiving the products.
Lastly, we do have the Destiny 2 codes. These codes will not be issued until the community members who participated in this drop receive the Gigabyte Aorus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11G graphics card if that is what you choose to do. So please do not be concerned about the codes. If you choose to return the Turbo and wait for the Aorus you will get a Destiny 2 gaming code.
Thank you to everyone for your patients and understanding in this matter. We realize that this is an unfortunate situation to happen. We are doing our best to make sure everyone is taken care of as quickly as possible.
Thank you.

I've had this card for a couple weeks now - feel free to ask me any questions. I use it to get as close as I can to 144fps@1440p at the games I play, and it's been pretty awesome at that. Heads up, this is a BIG card. The heatsink+fans take up 3 PCIE slots, and I did put a little piece of plastic in my case to prevent sag. PSA - I just noticed that MD has a note about 600w being enough for the PSU. After upgrading from my old 970 to this card, my (budget corsair) 600w PSU frequently shut off my computer during high load - switching from 1080p to 1440p was enough to do it in some games. Personally, I would recommend getting more wattage if you can spare it. I'm also going to post my specs to give some context to my power usage. Asus Maximus Hero 9 Intel i7 7700k overclocked @ 4.6 16gb G.skill @3200mhzThe GPU from this drop One m.2 drive, 2 sata HDDs, one sata SSD Two case fans, and two fans on an NZXT AIO pump. PCI soundcard I now have an 850w PSU. More edits - some have said that it could have been a faulty PSU, but the part was just over a year old, and only started shutting off after I put in the new card. Im no expert on this however, so take my recommendation for more watts with a grain of salt.

While 1080ti will be fine up to 84c, it does downclock and downvolt itself aggressively when approaching that threshold. So if it ramps up to 2ghz at around 50-60c, by the time it gets to 84c, you'll be sitting around 1600hz or so, basically costing you around 20% performance. Generally, you can avoid that by using a custom voltage curve which allows you to find a sweet spot between voltage (and therefore temperature) and highest clock possible. Pascal is quite good a holding high clocks even when downvolted, so the default 1.06v at highest speeds can be reduced to .95v or so, depending on how good your silicon is.
Bottomline: look up pascal undervolting. There's a ton of guides on how to do that, it's quite easy and very beneficial for keeping your brand new 1080 ti cool and quiet, and still delivering high performance.

I purchased this exact card from Massdrop in August 2017 for $679.99 . At the currently listed price of $749.99, it is not that great of a deal. I will buy more at $679.99 if they are able to drop the price.

Hello Everyone,
I am so sorry to see that you are receiving the incorrect product. I assure you that this was not done intentionally and there was a mistake made somewhere along the way that led to this unfortunate situation.
We are looking into what happened on this drop. Obviously for those who have received the GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Turbo 11G you got the wrong card. We will address the community by email on what to do as soon as possible.
Please do us a favor on this and do not open the internal retail packaging on the Turbo cards as they do belong to other community members who purchased them in the GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Turbo 11G drop.
Our distributor, shipping warehouse, in house logistics team, and community support team are all aware of this problem and are working towards a solution as fast as possible.
We appreciate your patience on this as we sort it all out and get everyone taken care of.
Thank you.

@MikeMD @steve Can we please get some clarification as to exactly which Aorus Verision this drop is for?
The previous drop had Extreme in the name, this one doesn't. The pictures for this drop are showing the Extreme version. The Model # provided for this drop (GV-108RAORUS-11GD) doesn't match any official model # on Gigabyte's website.
GV-N108TAORUS X-11GD ~~ AORUS GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition 11G *****no model # listed ***** ~~ AORUS GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti Waterforce WB Xtreme Edition 11G GV-N108TAORUS-11GD ~~ AORUS GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti 11G
If you'd like us to drop $650 on your platform, I'd at least expect to have a clear understanding of what exactly it is that I'm dropping it on.

It would be a pretty nicer deal with a Destiny 2 code. :)
Howdy Everyone, We are sending out the Destiny 2 codes over the next 3 days to everyone who participated in this drop and did not cancel their orders.
So if you hung in here with us we greatly appreciate it and regardless if you kept the Turbo card or exchanged for the Aorus you will receive 1 code for each card purchased.
You will not be able to activate the game unless you kept the Turbo card or once you have received the Aorus card. Please follow the instructions in the email that was sent with your Destiny 2 code.
Again, all Destiny 2 codes will be sent out by Thursday.
Cheers.

PSU combo is ridiculous, pretty much no one who's on the market for 1080 ti would need it.

AnzialAgreed for the most part, I can only see someone who had a very entry level card/PSU to start with and now has the cash to go big would need this combo.

ecolemanEven then why would you get a lower-to-mid level PSU (bronze level) to power a top-tier videocard? Makes no sense to me, PSU is an essential part of a system, and if you are building a powerful rig, you don't want to skimp on it. At the very least they could've included a gold or, better yet, platinum level PSU with higher quality components inside to provide better investment. It's like filling up your Ferrari with 87 octane gas lol
The only way this PSU is useful if you need it for a cheap secondary rig. Or to resell it, which is a hassle. Otherwise, it's a dead weight.

This drop is ridiculous. I'm sure many will stay away from this drop just because you bundle it with a low end psu.

KenshincoI just want the drop, then sell the PSU for extra $. Massdrop is stupid as hell for including a terrible PSU with ax extremely high end GPU.
