Oh man, it'd be awesome if we could get this for the Kinesis Edge. Backlit or not, doesn't really matter. There's so many odd-sized keys on the Edge that make it difficult to find good replacements.
I rather like this set, but if there's one comment I'd like to make about it, it's the row layout ... a little bit.
I like my thumb clusters to follow normal row layout from the top down so the farther keys are easier to press.
Like RH thumb-cluster:
R1 R1
R2 |R4| |R4V|
R3 |R4| |R4V|
R4V meaning R4-vertical, like a Numpad Enter.
That and turning the inner-lower 1.5U into an R1 so my thumb can more easily press it over the resting thumb key without depressing both. Or at least that's the case with the current R2 thumbs in place.
I was able to pull most of it off, though I had to buy a space bar kit for the 2U-R4s, except for the lack of R4V caps.
If we had the really tall R5 available, I'd like to try the Kinesis Advantage thumb layout:
R5 R5
R1 |R4| |R4V|
R3 |R4| |R4V|
Other than that, I'm really digging this set. My first dive into a Cherry profile.
