Really nice looking keycap, but be aware of the following points:
designed for switches with south-facing LEDs. Keycap will get stuck/have bad interference with north-facing switches.
keycap is really tall - looks great paired with high profile caps like MT3 or SA. Much taller than Cherry row 3 caps, it will tower over the keycaps next to it when used as caps lock.
I was really looking forward to this keycap for months, as it took a little under 4 months to arrive. It was supposed to be an ''in stock'' item, but I can understand that under the global circumstances, maybe shipping immediately was not easy. Either way, it arrived and the first thing I thought was ''How cute!!''. It is a tiny but detailed game controller, it is exactly what I paid for. It's true that you can get this keycap on other web sites such as Kbdfans, and for a cheaper price too, but, at least for me, buying from Kbdfans at 28 dollars would make me pay customs when it arrived at my country (as the limit is 25 dollars), so I would have to pay around 7 dollars more, bringing it up to 35, plus the shipping is more expensive there, so for me, It just was not worth it. Drop is a better option for me. Really happy with my keycap :)
This keycap looks and feels really nice!
I got myself a yellow one, and the aluminum texture with silicon accents is great. I took one star for 2 reasons:
1.- Took ages to ship
2.- Now it's obtainable via KBDFans at 28 bucks
A disclaimer on the second point: Shipping is expensive, so you will end up paying almost the same as here. I wouldn't recommend it buying as a standalone item, but definitely as an extra of a bigger purchase.
UPDATE 06/18/21: Has been almost a month using this artisan and I have to change my initial review. Still looks cool but the usability is not quite good, sits a bit loose on the stem and I keep bumping on it while I'm typing and try to reach Tab and beacuse of this using this keycap has become anoying. I only have OEM and Cherry profile keycaps and the artisan doesn't blend well with them. Soon I will get SA and I will try it then.
It's really cute, and feels high quality, but it's simply too lose, it pops off if you don't gently press it directly in the center, so instead of using it as a tab key I have it on my second shift, which I use less and it seems fine, but I do have to push it on so it'll stay occasionally.
Keycap does look good, but it either too loose or too tight to fit in to the keyboard. It simply keep pops back & can feel bouncing to either side. Couldn't make it to fit into the keyboard after all (Tried to press as hard as possible but still doesn't work)
Wasted $ 30+, would refund it if possible.
Looks awesome and feels quality when in hand. But once it's on the keyboard it is incredibly loose on the stem and can easily pop off if you don't press it dead center (on the switch stem) when typing. Very annoying! Unfortunately this keycap has been relegated to drawer duty since it's too late to return it.
The shade of yellow wasn't quite what was on some of the pictures but was good enough. The stem that interfaces with the keyboard is much too wide and wiggles around a lot
