So... there's some chatter about soldering LEDs into the keyboard? I assume that some custom firmware could control which leds get lit up ... for things like identifying caps lock, or maybe other fun things besides. Is there more information about exactly what LEDs can be used, and what will be supported? Also, is this something that must be done when first assembling the keyboard, or will it be possible to add the LEDs after the fact?

For the mx compatible switches you can choose to add leds at any time by threading the led legs though holes at the edge of the switch.
Matias switches they don't have any similar through-hole moulding built in and leds need to be surface mounted first (below the transparent key body) and allowed to shine through, not something the pcb seems to be designed for.
