I sized up, tried similar shoes in person given advice from the designer, still was too small. Wish I knew about people getting refunds for the sizing back when it ran, but it wouldn't change my review. Leather quality and construction are solid.
These really are a perfect minimalist sneaker. Materials are very high quality, as the constructions appears to be as well. They run narrow and small, so definitely size up at least half size from your standard dress shoe size.
I followed what was suggested for sizing and ordered a UK 7.5 for a snug fit. Honestly it wasn't as tight as I was expecting but still snug for sure. It definitely has a lower instep because I had to undo a lot of the laces just to get my foot it, but its good now(long as I have a shoe horn!).
The comfort is great and the leather quality and construction is phenomenal. J. Fitz Patrick shoes was always on my list to own one day, and I couldn't be happier with this pair! Hoping to save up to get one of their dress shoes one day!
I tried them on before I ordered, and knew that 10.5uk would be close to my size (I normally wear 9uk in JF dress shoes (LPB last), but when trying the sneakers on at their store, the 10uk was too short and they'd run out of the 10.5 uk) but still didn't expect them to be so close lengthwise, and so narrow. Something in the proportions is a bit off; but other than that they are great looking sneakers and with actually comfortable soles. Also love the fact that they're oxfords, which makes them unique in the market, and a bit dressier (not that I'll be wearing them with suits any time soon ;-). The leather feels a little stiff as well but I'm thinking after some wear this might turn out to be positive in the long run.
