Product Description
The heart of the 104UG lies in Topre’s patented electrostatic capacitive switches, which combine the best features of high quality mechanical models and the predominant rubber domes. The switch features a slider housed by a rubber dome over a conical, coiled spring and a printed circuit board, giving you the silent operation of rubber dome keys and the reliability of their mechanical counterparts Read More

Hello, it's approximately one week since this keyboard has arrived and I want to share my impressions on it in a few words. Until now I've only had keyboards with cherry mx red and cherry mx brown, and I must say that after first click you'll really like topre switches, because it is entirely different tactile feeling and your fingers don't get tired even after long period of typing. This is my first topre keyboard, so it's hard to compare to hi-pro, also 55 grams and 45 grams, but I can say about this keyboard, that it has unique ergonomics, it's practically impossible to make mistake while typing and also the keyboard is very impressive with its visuals and could be said that it's keyboard version of rolls-royse.

Love the keycaps.. don't like the full size..And would prefer the S-type model. Still we have a UK store for topre boards..And living in the EU that seems to be the better deal..

Just to keep y'all informed, the 30 and 45gram Ducky 104UB Realforce keyboards are up for pre-order. $255 w/ free shipping.
Next time can you all just lower the price and not bundle?

hardswitches111If I'm not mistaken, EliteKeyboards has a contract with Topre and so Massdrop can't sell the Realforces by themselves at a lower price. So, they offer bundles to have competitive sets.
At least, that's what I heard from my best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend who heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who may know something about it.

romeviOk then why not combo it with PBT space bar, or artisan keycaps etc? MD, why not pick something keyboard related next time? Don't get me wrong, MD is awesome, and provides a nice service to the community.

I hate to be "that guy" but amazon has these for 249 and 260. Whats difference between the Topre RealForce ones on amazon and this that comes with a pen? Like how is that a good deal?

Just buy the Pilot Metropolitans by yourself. They're $20 or so. Many more choices of designs, too.
BTW it is a great pen. But there are other starter fountain pen choices, including:
Pilot Kokuno (like a student pen starter) Lamy Safari/AL-Star Platinum Preppy

fuzzyinjapanThe thing is that this bundle is actually throwing in the pens for free. The only other American store I know of selling the Hi-Pro is EliteKeyboards, which has the keyboard by itself listed at $290. So here instead you get free shipping and two pens, about $50 in savings (hence the MSRP of $340).
