I hate to be "that guy" but amazon has these for 249 and 260.
Whats difference between the Topre RealForce ones on amazon and this that comes with a pen? Like how is that a good deal?
CasualSinThe only high profile Realforce on Amazon is $297.
The price of the keyboard isn't really a problem. In fact, with free shipping, you're saving maybe $10 over buying it from EliteKeyboards. The deal here is that you're getting some pens with it.
sacratoyDon't want to post a link as I don't want to on their website.
So the model XF11T0 and this is not the same model at all? Beside the obvious keycaps being different colors. Does this have to do with the fact that the XF11T0 is rated for 30~55g of force? And this one is 45 all around?
Really wondering here as I'm on a keyboard spending spree and I have my sights set on a Topre switch KB and I want to do it right the first time around.
CasualSinThe difference isn't just that the caps are a different color, but that the caps are a "high profile," meaning they are taller and spherical, and every row is differently angled to provide for a more comfortable and precise typing experience (I think these boards are targeted at data analysts to remove as much user error as possible).
As such, if I'm correct, the stems of the switches are also a bit different to accommodate for the cap height, but these should still work on other Realforce boards.
Many Topre enthusiasts harvest these boards for their caps. For me, having a 55g 87U with HiPro caps is pretty much Topre endgame!
I think Md ought to change the wording in this listing. Many aren't going to find it easily; I've skimmed over it a few times without realizing it was the HiPro keyboard. The caps should be emphasized, as well as the pen, in the title, and also in the description throughout.
