I'm very pleased with my speakers. I love that the DAC works with my headphones so seamlessly. The speakers are also not too large so that plus the DAC do not take up too much space.
I read in a review that the volume setting isn't retained after powering off. Is the volume retained after it goes into standby mode at least? What is the power draw from the wall in standby?
I've been looking at the YU2 as well (I love the small size and color options). How does the sound quality of the YARO2 speaker compare to the YU2? Is the YARO2's sound more comparable to the YU2 or to the YU3?
Seriously considering pulling the trigger on this!! Does anyone know if the amp/dac would be something you'd stick with if you want to change the speakers in future? Seems like the passive speakers are the limiting factor in producing better sound! Appeals to me because of the price, limited space and potential to upgrade speakers for an improved sound.
Hope others can chim in to help me decide! Is this the best sounding speakers for the cabinet this size?
I've been looking for small-ish bookshelf speakers for my desktop. Currently I have been using a Fiio E17 to drive my headphones. The fact that these speaker's amp could replace the Fiio for reduced desktop clutter is very appealing for me.
Does anyone have any opinions on these speakers, or if the DAC/amp here would be at least equivalent to my Fiio E17?
