_megapixelI'm using a POK3R and use my arrow-keys A LOT. First I thought it was a bad buy, but then I put the arrowkeys on WASD and FN to Capslock (to use it with the pinky) and after a few days of getting used to it I honestely prefer it over the usual placement.
I added the red/green bipolar LEDs. I left out the outer keys, I have some red/blue leds coming for those. I used desoldering wick to remove the solder from the holes.

Brightness and color switching works with Fn + [ Fn + ] Fn + \
It's the same as the regular V60's that come with LED's installed.

Took about an hour. I do have a nice temperature controlled iron.
The only down side is the flux residue. But nobody will ever see it. Just use no-clean flux and ignore it.
manapuaWhat specifications are these LEDs?
I'm thinking about adding:
Option 1) Yellow LEDs for shine through keycaps
or
Option 2) White LEDs for shine through TEX acrylic case
Should I use rectangles for option 2 (undernearth the PCB) and rounds for the option 1 (through keycaps)?
mechanicalkeyboards.com is having a sale on all KBParadise keyboards + a promo code for KBParadise boards, because of this the price of the keyboard is around 75 dollars with free shipping. Just a PSA for anyone wanting a cheaper and faster option than massdrop atm. Their sale lasts until the 31st.
Well, there are tactile clear gateron switches that they'll produce periodically, but yeah. It's all kinda confusing. But in general, just make sure to google something before committing to it. I've learned that out the hard way too.
To make things even more confusing, there's a switch manufactured by Gateron called Zealios made by a member of the community. I've never tried them, but apparently they're like way better MX clears.
Xyzacfor my money I prefer my V60 over my pok3r. I also prefer Gat switches over Cherry. I find Gat Blacks to be so smooth! and way nicer then cherry.. blacks.
Also cost wise the pok3r will run you 129-130 dollars.. with metal case... the v60 will run ya 75bucks... so there that to think about also.
XyzacThe KBP v60 provides similar or same performance to the Pok3r for a cheaper price. The primary reason to choose the Pok3r would be for backlighting. So if its not important to you, get the KBP v60.
