A Full-Featured Kit with Great Versatility

The Keebmonkey KBM68 is a barebones keyboard kit is a value-focused keyboard that provides plenty of versatility and features for the price. Great for entry-level mech keys customers, the KBM68 has truly versatile hot-swappable sockets that can support three- or five-pin switches. This means that you can really audition the feel you want, without virtually any limitations from switch type or soldering. The board is tray-mounted with a steel plate and the chassis is made from high-quality ABS, so while the durability is solid, there will be a bit more give than if it was an all-metal build. But Keebmonkey has chosen to include a molded silicone pad for sound dampening and pleasant action—a feature normally reserved for pricier boards. There’s Bluetooth 5.0 baked right in, plus the ability to connect via 2.4 gigahertz with the included receiver—allowing for convenient wireless connectivity, right out of the box.
