Retro Simplicity, Modern Amenities

The Keychron Q60 Barebones Mechanical Keyboard is a gasket-mounted typing foundation that packs a host of cutting-edge features into a sleek, sophisticated case. The old-school gray of its CNC’d anodized aluminum case looks simple and clean with no unnecessary flair—and thanks to its crisp sharp lines and compact 60-percent layout, it’ll fit perfectly in a minimal setup. Under the hood, you’ll find virtually all the high-performance features you’d expect from a top-tier brand like Keychron. The double-gasket mounting ensures a decidedly modern typing feel, while the south-facing RGB LED array means minimal visual interference with the key switches and keycaps you bring to the party. There’s also VIA and QMK support for extra customization on the software front, and there’s even a Mac/Windows switch on the back to give you instant customization on your operating systems. So, while this Q60 may seem old-fashioned on the outside, it’s most decidedly new-school in functionality.

Question
This looks like the wonderful HHKB layout! Can anyone offer some ideas about what's different between this and the Tokyo60?

The other thing that wasn't mentioned by the other folks is this board has individual key RGB leds on the PCB, the Tokyo60 (which I have and absolutely love) only has leds on the bottom of the PCB...Read More
