Kizer Tanto Folding Knife

I agree that the knife is unusually light for its size and too unwieldy for EDC. I can very easily deploy the blade just by shaking it once without having to use the flipper assist, so it came pretty greased up, but I think it's also because the handle is so light. So far its primary use has been for opening packages and breaking down cardboard boxes afterwards, so I generally keep it on the table where my packages collect.

I got mine a few days ago. Same experience here regarding the smell. The G2 handles are a bit rough. The tumbled finish of the blade in my opinion is a bit distracting. Considering the size of the knife, it is unusually light. I have a Benchmade of similar size which is about twice as heavy. The price of below $100 bucks is a fair deal for the knife and as a collector, I don't mind having bought the knife. However, if I were looking for a knife as an exclusive carry, this is not an EDC option bc it is just too big. For serious outdoor applications, it is just too light to be used for anything other than light jobs. I am not sure where that knife fits in other than just a showy item that one carries around for fun.
