I'm very wary of this purchase - as much as I love Klipsch, they do tend to break (I got a pair for both my sister & myself; only lasted a year or so). Their customer service was awful. After browsing Amazon reviews, hoards of people are complaining about the same things.
Seems inevitable these will die within a short period of time, and they are awful about replacing
Haha same thing happened to me - it's as simple as unplugging it - except you can never plug it back in. Flimsiness with poor customer service makes for a disaster product
Why on Earth do people even make IEMs specifically built to NOT rap around your ear? What a waste of money, DO NOT buy these unless you somehow have sticky ears and you've been pleased with similarly designed ear buds. Treat yourself to some Phonak Audéo IEMs instead. I could not be more happy with my purchase.
SinjaiDid you just assume everyone's preference? I, for one, absolutely hate wrap-around headphones. Wearing braces around my ears feels super uncomfortable to me. And even though I don't have "sticky ears", most well-designed headphones have no problem staying put in mine. So I have a suggestion. If you have nothing to add to this particular discussion and you're so "happy with your purchase", why don't you go share your opinions in the thread dedicated to Phonak Audéo instead?
WOW these suck balls. These sound worse than the $50 S4i-II's, and about the same as the A5i's I got for $30 on closeout. Zero bass. Drums sound like plastic spoons. Crystal clear but treble fatigue. I actually went back to using Plantronics Bluetooth PLT Edge Sport headphones these sound so bad.
Will try aftermarket from ear tips to see if a better seal helps.
HexCowboyI genuinely agree. The sound quality is poor. The sad thing is it will make me cautious from buying anything audio from MD. These are expensive (relatively speaking when compared to other ”deals”).
EDCjunkieYes. I have gotten three shitty pairs of earbuds from Massdrop now, and one great pair (for the $) which were HiFiMan. Also have gotten one junk knife, and some junk jewelry (1/4th items have been junk). Definitely worth being skeptical and cautious.
Stop with that for sale stuff. First it is an auction that STARTS at $75. Then there is a $7.50 shipping fee. So it's $82.50 and that's only where it starts. You are better off getting this at the 79.99 price as long as we get 8 more people to join.
LunatiqueI’ll second the no answer. I don’t care for the design on these. Got them for $59 at BuyDig in September. They are long and skinny and tend to ride more in you ear canal. So laying on them isn’t comfortable at all.
Sound is fair to good but they aren’t close to the One More Triple Driver(s) for my taste anyway. Good Luck!
IvanSpendalotYou can get some triple driver chi-fi iems for this price. Even if we disregard the Chinese gear, I don't think they stand up to the $100 gear from Shure and Ety, especially not in isolation.
This should have a better balance mids and more pronounced highs. The SE215 s one hell of a dark sounding pair of earphones, this one is hopefully warmer.
I prefer the Klipsch to the SE215. Like es3502012 said, the Shure are too dark for my taste. I definitely see the appeal of a laid back pair of of headphones as I love my HD 600.
Different strokes for different folks!
