John Landi's Bull Maverick speaks for itself. This is a heat treated, water jet 154CM fixed blade with an overall length (OAL) of 9 7/8 inches. The size of the Bull Maverick gives you an interesting range of possibilities. Since it is just under 10 inches long, it's used most reasonably as an EDC fixed blade, but it's definitely right on the edge of being too large. This works toward to your advantage in a big way (pun intended) because it allows you to do tasks that usually require a machete, but with a much smaller knife.

Steel Got It
154CM steel is a high end, American made stainless steel, and it's right at home in this high end, American made knife. 154CM has a relatively high carbon content for an upper tier steel, and it is renown for its ability to hold an edge for a very long time. It has great corrosion resistance, and is widely considered to be a vastly superior steel when compared with AUS8 or 440 steel. The handles on these knives are all made from molded G10 and have a great grip and feel in your hand.
