Should have mentioned that you would need to buy a battery. Being advertised as "rechargeable" , you would think that a rechargeable battery was a part of the system. It should have been highlighted to buy a battery so you could receive the light and battery around the same time.
The thing I don’t like about it and the reason I wouldn’t recommend it to my coworkers, is that it only has a flood pattern. If the beam were adjustable, I would buy two more for myself and recommend it to anyone.
Nice little light. Well built. It will run on both 18650 or 26650, however, you cannot use the turbo mode with the 18650. It doesn't have the current capacity required. There are no batteries included but there is a charging cable, lanyard, sheath, and replacement O rings. A decent 26650 battery will set you back about $20, but the enhanced performance is worth it.
This light is a flood pattern, and it lights up a large area very nicely. Would recommend.
It has effectively replaced my old tried-and-true SureFire 6P (which I have continually upgraded over the course of 20-odd years) as my EDC hand torch. It's not much larger, and about 30 times brighter! I just have to carry different spare batteries, but 26650s are rechargeable and last a good while...
Had a small hiccough where my wife put the battery in backward on the first one I'd bought - a quick email exchange with the manufacturer didn't result in a new torch (I didn't expect it to,) but it should have resulted in reverse-polarity protection across the board. (They were working on the idea anyhow, I think I just accelerated it.)
