This is the "prettiest" flashlight I have ever owned. As such it will probably always be a shelf queen. I have many other lights to put in harm's way before I would risk scarring the Prince. If I was to put looks aside and evaluate this light for carry it would not be my first choice. It's heavy, but it's copper and it's nice to know Lumintop used lots of material. The beam is more of a thrower than I typically like. But that does not take away from it's usefulness. Finally, the head gets hot. But all 18650 tube style lights get hot at higher illumination levels. The carbon fiber wrapped battery tube helps considerably if the user wants to avoid the heat. This is a great light.

I like this light. The first thing you notice is it feels solid. That can be translated as heavy but your mileage may vary. The fit and finish is really nice. I have the copper version and although I realize a copper clip probably would not work too well, the brass is kind of an odd contrast to my eye. I think the stainless steel version would have the same problem but the all brass version is sweet. I wanted the copper, so that's what I got. The other thing about the clip, at least on my light is that it is very tight and stiff. It is difficult to get out of the holster if you clip it to the holster. Because the body is so slippery, it slides out of jeans pockets with no problem though, and you can always bend it out if you don't like it. The UI is pretty straightforward and it memorizes the last mode, no complaints there. There does not seem to be any "flashy" modes but this ain't really a tactical light. The doc is, ahem, light. There is approximately one sentence describing low, medium and high. A leather nice holster is included but I can't figure out what the side pocket is supposed to be for but again, no complaints there. I have not used this light much yet so I cannot comment on reliability but I have not had any problems so far.

I was initially not impressed with the fit and finish—specifically the brass pocket clip does not match colors with the rose gold copper, and it was attached at a slight angle rather than straight. The leather sheath is pretty sloppy as well. After removing the clip and throwing it away, this light turns out to be quite the performer. The regulation of output at the highest setting is excellent and exceeds my jet beam, olight and fenix lights in output as well as maintaining the high level of output for 2 hrs. This light, unlike some others, doesn’t suffer from that huge drop in lumin output after a minute of use. Based on the electronics regulating the output as well as the ability of copper to heat sink efficiently, this flashlight has become the highest performance light I own. The durability maybe less than tactical olights or fenix models, but The copper makes the light heavy and substantial despite it’s narrow diameter and slim appearance. It is quite heavy, but the feel in hand is satisfying. The threads are square cut and copper on copper is actually smoother than aluminum. I like the user interface which is a simple low medium and high with no strob or special effects. Finally the tint of the light is cool white. It does not suffer from greenish tones like some of my lights advertised as cool white or neutral. It is not warm or neutral tint, but for cool white, the tint is actually quite nice.

lobsterUpdate: the clicky button on the tail cap has not been functioning correctly recently. I clicked the button a lot. like hundreds of times over a single day while driving in the car. I might have broken the button by doing this.

It’s beautiful . I like the copper and carbon fiber look Lumintops are good lights . Kinda picky on which battery will work . Needs a button top . I only have flat tops , so I just soldered a blob on top. Works fine .

Does what it claims to
The carbon fiber part is not really CF. It’s a hard rubber/plastic inlay that looks like the ‘lightening strike’. CF. Which is super expensive. Just having that material on a knife handle shoot the price up $100. Outside of that. Great light.

This is an excellent product. Good feel in the hand. Brilliantly light, generally well constructed. Purchased two and one came with a faulty clicker. Neither massdrop or Lumintop followed through to assist. Was disappointed by that fact. As it turned out, after 9 months of use, the clicker seems to have sorted itself out. An update: one of the torches LED's died, within warranty. No one seems to want to know, not Drop (massdrop), not lumintop. I have logged a job with lumintop requesting to purchase a replacement LED unit, nothing, crickets. Sadly this lets an otherwise great product down. Further update : I found lumintop on facebook and was able to communicate with someone there, ultimately I was able to purchase the parts to repair the dead torch.

phistagonhello phistagon, remove the light head from the torch, look inside where the battery contacte the head. There are two pinholes in a flat ring, which secures the LED and electronics in place. Using split pin pliers or a pointed probe, turn the ring anti clockwise to unscrew it/ Carefully remove the ring and the other components, noting order and orientation (because you will need to put them back). I ended up being able to purchase the led unit (electronics included) from Lumintop. Found them through their facebook page, they have a store through facebook. Good luck.

It's a great light in most regards, but after two years of consistent use the tailswitch died on me. Otherwise it was perfect.
