Massdrop: the single most important piece of information about a flashlight is HOW it operates. A description of the mode of operation (what happens when I click the switch? How do I access the various modes listed in the specs? Will it stay at the setting I last used, or is that programmable?) is essential, and is conspicuously missing from all of your flashlight drops.
Why?

All of them are pretty amazing in their respective category and specs.
st3venbA quick read of my comments above links to the light for $48 without a coupon and even more reading will tell you where to find some coupons. Idiot
This thing was not easy to build into a triple, but once I finished it it was well worth it. I had to grind down an MTN-20DD to fit this slimmer host, and grind a copper heat sink meant for a convoy s2 to fit. Bypassed both the driver and tail clicky and put a Carclo 10507 in front of triple XP-L HI U5 4000k's. Because of all the grinding that took much longer than I anticipated.
Anyone able to provide feedback if I used a AA to 18650 adapter with this. Want to know if I will get the same light lumens output if I used the adaptor. Example, if I would get the 1000 lumens at max.
ViraYou may also want to consider the Reylight Pineapple Brass. It recently dropped here and may drop again soon. The Reylight runs on a single AA or 14500 battery.
Would quite like to join the drop for this one, but got shocked by the shipping and handling fee of 21.25 USD, compared to when I joined another drop earlier for x2 of the brass AAA pocket flashlight and only 4.50 USD handling on that one...
What gives?
yes but the aaa flashlights are a massdrop item they ship it directly from themselves. there are certain items mass drop has in their own stock. i bought the copper and the titanium aaas last year NO shipping charge at all and got them pretty quickly. . i but i still dont get the discrepancy of the shipping from manufacturer to manufacturer for international items. seems its pretty large.
warchyld67Sure that happens from some items, but I would not say it is by any way standard procedure that they got anything in stock as that is not their business model, all prior massdrop specific items have been a collab between them and a producer. And had a pretty hefty long waiting time for them.
I hate to be that guy, but this is a fashion flashlight you buy for the looks, not for the functionality. If you really like the looks, go for it. However, there are cheaper and better performing flashlights, but those are, well, "boring". For one, this likely still has a cool white LED, whereas flashlight enthusiasts tend to prefer a neutral white LED (better color reproduction, and many feel that it's easier on the eyes). For another, there's no "moonlight" or "firefly" mode.
First paragraph says this: " Constructed from a combination of either brass, copper, or stainless steel with a sleek carbon fiber inlay..." My question is: where is the stainless steel one? If you mention there is a stainless steel model, then you should show it. If there is no stainless steel model being offered, then don't reference it.
lellobeetleActually, I wouldn't mind if they stated all the options, as long as they highlight that a particular model isn't available in a drop. That way, buyers will have an informed decision, rather than purchasing a model and complaining about it the next time the drop returns with a more preferable model
These are my favorite lights out of all I have purchased to date. Pretty much have a drawer full by now. Copper for me, and brass for the Mrs. Pretty sure the Princes you find online for less, dont come with the battery or leather sheath.
zsoumyahi these are for when the ones on the light are worn or so . keep an eye on them every so often...
the one in the lens are probably never needs replacing unless like the lens in damaged etc..
replace the O rings every 1 or 2 years to keep the light waterproofed resistant etc.
keep the threads lubed with good thread lube.
i use nano oil.
nothing to worry so much.
