Updated from the last wildly-popular Magicforce 68-key dual-mode keyboard, this second release features a few aesthetic changes while retaining fan-favorite features. Like before, use dual-mode to connect via USB or wirelessly with Bluetooth 4.0/4.1 Read More
Anyone who participated in the last Magicforce BT drop should have been notified about this drop instantly. I'd have bought one of these (and replaced the loud keycaps) if I'd known. It's a much cleaner look than Magicforce has offered before and I'm a fan.
Also, I'd be interested in a less patriotic keycap scheme and here's why: (1) on an otherwise white keyboard, the colors are louder than, say, white and gray (and possibly pale or turkish blue as a highlight) and (2) thinking purely in terms of your own country can feel too literal when you're writing fiction because you might be trying to imagine an entirely different place. Whether I write or compose, I'm always trying to imagine worlds that don't exist.
I watched this site for months looking for the logoless Magicforce drop, and the moment I blinked, you launched it. Let us know next time!
MonkeybarI'm with you about the keycaps, Monkeybar -- the variety on Ali Baba is impressive. However, the keyboard in this drop didn't have the logo, which is a first for Magicforce and makes their keyboards look a hell of a lot cleaner. So if I used my own keycaps, it would be a better look overall than any other possibility with that company.
Also, this drop offered MX clears, which are preferable for me. I agree with otaku on that.
The Ali Express page might have changed, but using monkeybar's link, you can select gateron or cherry mx switches in each color. Sadly, the only cherry switches being offered are blue, brown and red. With gateron, they also offer white and green, but none of those options are useful for someone who's interested in cherry mx clears.
Can I program it this way?
- On the right of the spacebar: right alt, right control, FN
- Shift+ESC is ~, FN+ESC is `
- the 4 keys on the top right, first column from top to bottom
- Insert, Delete
Basically I want the Leopold FC660M layout.
Thanks!
How programable is this keyboard?
I feel bad about the position of right-alt.
Can I reverse the position of right-alt and fn?
Basically, I think the layout of this model is better than Varmilo 68.
Especially, the position of "Esc", "`~", "Ins", "Home", "End".
