Hey, I am super new to the audiophile world and I was wondering what kind of amp and or dac to get. I have watched numerous videos them and still don't know how to determine what I need. Please help if you have minute.

Juicy_JWell here's a tip. The HD6XX is a dark sounding headphone, so usually an analytical or neutral dac/amp would pair well with these. I generally don't recommend anything from the Schiit Audio range, but the coolness of their "house sound" suits these headphones really well. These cans also require plenty of power, so something like a Schiit Valhalla would be a good amp (or anything else from the Schiit range would be a good signature complement). DAC doesn't matter much for the HD6XX, but do get something better than a FiiO D3.

Juicy_JFor that price a Schiit Fulla would probably be your best bet for a DAC/AMP combo. But I would recommend spending a bit more if you can.

Juicy_JMore distortion.
However distortion isn't as bad as it sounds, and most people do not know what it sounds like. More likely it will just sound good to you.
Most people when they move to better equipment, they won't hear much difference. But give it a few weeks and try moving back to your old equipment and it will sound like trash.

Juicy_JWell the DAC isn't as good as if you got a higher end model, which would lead to distortion as Jakula said, and the AMP isn't super powerful, not a problem on these, but if you get into really high stuff you might run into power issues with higher ohm stuff. But for $100 for a DAC and AMP it really can't be beat for the price.
