I see that there has already been quite a few requests for the 'women's fit'...I just received mine today in the mail and will be comparing it to the women's fit model...a couple things right off the top are the shoulder straps...are not the "s" shape more suitable for most women. I'll have to put a load in it to see if the torso length and straps are a deal breaker...if so, I will need to return it, even though I do like the slightly lighter weight, pockets in the lid...

I have a bad back and need all the rigidity I can get in the frame. I was wondering if I would be able to substitute something like the gossamer gear aluminum u-shaped frame for the framesheet on this pack.

Its just a pouch, so I wouldn't see any issues aside from fit and fabric reinforcement where the poles end. I have a very rigid (milk bottle material) bladder, so I sometimes just remove the framesheet and use that rigid bladder instead. I don't know if kydex or sintra is any more rigid, but it seems like a popular choice for diy framesheets.

How are the zips on this bag? Are they lockable with a padlock?

the only zips are on the top "brain" and the hip belts. The top is more like a dry bag that you roll down and clip. And the zip pulls are nylon cording, not metal, so there really isn't anything to put something like a luggage lock through.

I'm a bit interested in this as I am going more UL and probably will require a smaller pack then my current 75 l Black Wolf Mckinley. I like the tear down opening of the McKinley for east random access. However, Crown is much lighter and has the detachable belt pack option that looks great for day outings from a walk in base camp such as may be useful for wilderness fishing trips. The only thing is that I don't know how to measure my torso sizing to order the correct fit. Can anyone please advise?

Hey guys, does this actually have a pouch to put a bladder into? I read some reviews that say it does not, just has clips to clip on to bladder, but my bladder does not ha e any clips on it.

I ordered the regular size pack this evening (12/29/19), with anticipated ship date of tomorrow. I added $5 for expedited shipping, so it should arrive by next Friday (1/3/20). I hope so, because I need it for a trip scheduled beginning 1/8/20. Will update this comment upon receipt and examination of the pack. There's a couple of YouTube videos out there which helped me decide: https://youtu.be/Lstg7glRXC4 and https://youtu.be/5MBrimHl9Sg

Oh well, Massdrop/Drop just made my choice easier! Though I had some hesitation, I was willing to give the Massdrop products a try at the reduced sale prices being offered. I thought that I could at least perform a fair test, and then if the products did not measure up, or were substandard, I could always return them in accordance with the Massdrop return policy. Another reason why I purchase from Amazon, Campsaver, and many other sites with reasonable, and accommodating return policies. Anyway, I'm getting ready for an overnight adventure, so I made today laundry day, so I had some time set aside today, and was planning on pulling the trigger and purchasing the Massdrop x Granite Gear Crown X60, the Pine Down Blanket, and the Dan Durston Tent today at the sale prices that were still in effect this morning when I checked, which were $100.00/$80.00/$160.00 respectively. I was about to start the process when I noticed that Drop suddenly raised the price 20% on all the products I wanted without any notice. Oh well, I guess it was an omen, so I instead will keep my hard earned money and look elsewhere! I guess I am meant to have the Gossamer Gear Mariposa 60 after all, so I just need to be patient, and wait for those Black Friday prices again. I notice that Drop has deviated from their usual policy of setting a start and end date on a drop for these products, and I might have acted sooner if they had been more transparent. Their loss! My motto is to purchase the highest quality products at the lowest possible price! Never put yourself in a position where you must have something at any cost, too many people do that. Set a buy price, and just walk away if it does not happen! I'm walking!

Just adding another request that you include the women-specific version. I've got a short torso for my height in addition to being female. Apparently Drop thinks there aren't many of us out here, but we are here, just lurking without commenting I think.

Never going to happen. We’ve been requesting a short since the pack went on sale. Or a woman’s version. Not even the courtesy of a response. Speaks volumes about Drop’s “community” priorities.
