chungjunthere are no tools included with the keycaps themselves, usually you get a tool to remove them with your keyboard. you can pick one of these up cheaply though.

chungjunThanks for all the input, constructive or otherwise. Tools would be good to have, not a must. Thanks.

udllerI hope you are joking. If you don't want to destroy your expensive keycaps/board you'll want to use a keycap puller designed for the job.

consolationNothing wrong with DIY, but that doesn't mean there is a reason to DIY something as cheap as keycap pullers. Might aswell DIY something that'll save you money and time

BlueCrownedCouple years ago I noticed my co-worker had a mechanical keyboard on her desk. As her secret Santa, I decided to get an artisan key cap - nothing rare or expensive, just a little gimmick. She picked up her board, turned it upside down.... and smashed it against the side of the desk till some keys fell out.
Whatever works I guess?

consolationHaha I ve done this to a membrane keyboard years ago when I had a pentium 3. It did help clean it, but it broke it at the same time.
