vpfishBased on my general headphone knowledge I doubt Master & Dynamic or V-Moda built these cans with daisy chaining them to another set as a feature. Both are made as single entry with the ability to switch the side the cable connects to, to suit your needs. Now that said with the properties of electricity and the wiring it will send signal to the opposite unused jack. I would call it more of a side effect and definitely not a feature.

I think it's silly but seems like they are calling it a feature.

vpfishSo i went and looked up that web site to look into things. As you have copy/pasted "Dual Inputs" they are both inputs not input/output. The daisy chain with your friends they are referring to is with the use of their SharePlay(TM) Audio Cable that splits the signal before sending it through the headphones. There is a picture of this audio cable directly under the section you copied. So the cable has said "feature" not the headphones.

Edit: I am not saying you can't daisy chain through the headphones, i know you can due to wiring. I am saying that would be less than optimal for sound quality and silly to call that a feature. Reading it again I can see what you are saying , I guess if v-moda wants to call that a feature i have more respect for them than they deserve.

Striker579It seems to be for both input (mixing) and output (sharing). I could be wrong since I've never used it feature or not.
From V-Moda web site about SharePlay:
"Allow others to plug their headphones directly into your SharePlay Extended Audio Cable, so you can both listen to the same source. vpfishAre we talking about using both inputs on the headphones or talking about the SharePlay Cable? I have no dispute on what was said by you or the v-moda website referring to the cable. I am commenting on using the headphones unused input jack as an output to daisy chain another set of drivers being a bad alternative to splitting the signal before it passes through a set of drivers. Calling that a feature to me is not a selling point. That is all i was saying. I am not trying to get all preachy about any of it. Cheers!

SocrateaseHaha so it does... I stand corrected, this is being marketed now as a feature. So now if some youtube reviewer could please daisy chain about 10 of these together I would like to know how it sounds for the poor fool at the end of the chain. I would still not use this method though convenient, as I can't see having $400 cans and getting sloppy seconds input signal. Thanks for increasing my knowledge on this matter.

Striker579With 10 of them, you'd be down to 3.2 ohms impedance and a lot of current, you could drive them with a speaker amp.
