Grab a glass of bourbon and saddle up your horse: Maxkey’s SA Western, an ode to the wild west, is filled with callouts from the American frontier. There’s a horseshoe, a rifle, a cactus, a cowboy hat, and more—all in a Signature Plastics colorway that evokes another era Read More
Signature Plastics and Maxkeys are different manufacturers. Maxkeys keycap sets are not manufactured by Signature Plastics. Maxkeys manufactures their keycap sets in China; Signature Plastics does their manufacturing in Custer, Washington. I've read that Maxkeys uses old tooling acquired from Signature Plastics, but I don't know the source of that information. While Maxkeys can make their own molds, they have not made the molds needed for ISO support because they don't think the expense is worthwhile.
euphxenosThank you very much for all that info. That indeed explains a thing or two!
Hopefully they'll come around in the future and grab that market.
Tho it's still kind of weird that they would produce the same exact set, but that's off-topic.
I like how this drop links to a poll that this set wasn't in, as if this drop is the result of being requested in that poll for other Maxkey sets. It's as if they're saying, "We listened! Here's something you didn't ask for!"
that... is butt ugly. what was the target audience of this product? people who like dip, revving their truck in a Walmart parking lot, and mechanical keyboards.
