Wow, is this not the biggest piece of garbage I have ever seen. Anyone can order shitty LED strips from china for $1.50 and glue them inside a frame. It'd be one thing if the LEDs actually produced the colors in their pictures....but they don't. The strip has LEDs in the standard red, then blue, then green format. So if you want all red, every 3rd LED lights up....you get the ides. The point is...there is no white. You either get red, blue, or green, or some shitty variant of the three.
There is no way this is worth 10 dollars, let alone the $64 dollars I paid for it. Maybe this would work if the canvass of the print was thicker and these were the CHEAPEST LED STRIP you can find on Alibaba.
Avoid this company like the plague. I am going to try and get my money back due to the bait and switch pictures and the product that was delivered.
These are absolutely trash and I’m disappointed at how many times massdrop has pushed these. I always regretted not snagging one when they were up and now I regret wasting my money. The pictures of the prints makes them look amazing and it’s a total bait and switch.
quality is poor the prints are not even that vivid
the LED's are placed on the inside of the frame, this causes each individual light to be seen through the front of the canvas while the wall behind it has no back lighting at all. This also means that the LED's just cause the edges including the battery to be silhouetted through the print... I mean it. looks. terrible.
the remote for the LED's is functional maybe 1/5th of the time.

I am going to go ahead and hang my head, pretend this never happened and throw the remote in the trash. Maybe ill find a use for the print in some corner somewhere
Are there any real world pictures of these? (Google search came up bust) Would like to know how they actually look when lit up, instead of the Photoshop examples that are provided..
well, to answer my own questions, and perhaps some others' i guess...
i found some of the same prints on a site other than moderndek:

----------
"Measurements 35.43"W x 11.81"H x 1.2"D "
...which is 90cm x 30cm x 3cm, as others have suggested/said
----------
"Each one has color-coordinating LEDs built into the backside of the canvas, creating a surreal, ethereal outer glow that adds a soft illumination to the room, makes the art visible even in the dark, and also makes it appear lit from the inside out [...]"
----------
"Built-In LEDs For Ambience + Depth"
----------
"Is the LED light coming through the painting itself or is it a back-light?The LED is coming through a back-light."
----------
so it doesn't appear the light actually shows through the canvas image. it is a surround light that comes out from around the outside edges of the canvas. not surprising, but i was hopeful.
if anyone joins the drop and gets theirs and it *does* actually make the image itself appear as if it is glowing (through the canvas, not from ambient light from the backlight bleeding around the outside of the canvas), let me know - because that would look pretty cool. or even post some real life pics instead of the photoshops online.
phliKtidJust got mine in today. Not worth the cost of shipping. You see each and every LED shining through the canvas and the remote for the lights works for shit. Personally I think Drop should remove this item from the site.
ScriabinOn ModernDek's website it says "90L x 30W x 3H". They don't state the unit of measurement, but they're based out of San Francisco so I would assume it's inches. That being said, even on their pictures, it looks like it should be cm. They have the print against a brick wall, and the print stretches a little less than the length of 3 bricks.
EjamLMAO well now I think seeing the "3H" dimension clinches it. Even with lighting elements, if these suckers were a full 3 inches off of your wall they would look a bit ridiculous, right?
