Construction
Complete with 92 cylindrical shaped and soft-touch rubberized keys, the caps are connected to Cherry Red MX switches, the holy grail of key switches. Requiring minimal activation force, they’re good for over 50 million keystrokes, or about five to ten times the life expectancy of your typical membrane keyboard. Lighting the way for you, the trigger points are easier to spot thanks to red LED backlighting for each individual key, which is adjustable between five levels of illumination.
Macro Programming
What’s really impressive about this keyboard, however, is the software inside. With five dedicated macro keys and an internal memory of 512 MB, store any key combination you want and bust it out on whatever computer you’re using. There are also voice and light notifications for programming, a voice countdown option for in-game timers, and easy-to-access LED and volume adjustment knobs. For an ergonomic fit, the Monoprice Gaming Keyboard also includes a detachable wrist rest.
