Great deal? Not really. Decent... maybe. They were never 950 in stores though. 850 at the most. 700 is probably the lowest you can find them. If that is the only pen you want and you’ve gotta have it... maybe but you lose the Montblanc warranty if you don’t buy from a licensed dealer and if there is something wrong with it Montblanc repairs start at like 250-300. Soooooooooooo.

AsspMassdrop never replies to my questions about that on pens, so I assume it’s not warrantied.

AsspI took a chance and bought one. It is engraved with a serial number and came with the full retail booklet including warranty information.

This might be a dumb question, but what on earth is precious coral resin?

BenTWPCoral coloured plastic resin - there's nothing "precious" about it!

No, I like Visconti (actually, I like a lot of Italian pens), I'm just not in the market for another six-hundred dollar pen. I initially started collecting old pens; Parker "51"s, Sheaffer Snorkels, etc... At some point, I got off-track and started purchasing new pens. I think I want to get back to the older ones for a while, they're just more interesting to me these days.

RayFA Parker duofold junior was my gateway pen. Lovely flex, wrote better than any non-tuned pen. I think I got it for $25 from ebay 25 years ago. Excellent collection. Thanks for the reply.
