When I see drops like this, I often wonder if it's more a case of a vendor taking advantage of MD's naiveté/lack of knowledge, than it is MD taking advantage of the members naiveté/lack of knowledge.
Based on the comments below, I'm going with the former ;- )
This isn't even close to a deal, this is dumping old stock on uneducated buyers. SLI 1070s didn't make sense in 2018 and it makes much less sense now on the cusp of the 3000 series GPU launches. Especially at this price. And the specs say RAID 4 which is not accurate, the spec sheet says 2*512GB SSDs meaning its a RAID 0. The CPU is also 7th gen from 2017...
You can go right now and buy a laptop from amazon, from a reputable brand, with a current gen i7 processor and a way faster rtx 2080 or 2080s for a thousand bucks less. This drop makes zero sense financially
ZestychilleLooks like this drop includes some clearance of older models. MSI is already on 8th Gen and was the first manufacturer to have 8th gen products available when they launched in April. No need for sarcasm.
p_irateIt's more like massdrop needs to update their description, but tbh this is not a good deal at all, much better laptops in this price range. Plus two GPU's does not give 50% more performance. Be lucky to get 25% better performance on some games. Then there's all the problems with SLI.
