The protective paper film is a lot of hassle to remove and the stem slots are pretty much not usable, but it does hold the switches alright. Not a great product overall.
When I opened the box, I wasn’t impressed, it’s just a slab of thick acrylic with laser cutouts, you can tell it’s been done quick and cheap, the edges of the slab are warp and not even sanded down. The protective paper stuck to it was a nightmare to remove.
I tried loobing Gateron yellows and the switches don’t even fit? Also the gap between the switch holes and the stem holes are so small that you can actually have switches and stems on the station at the same time. Absolute waste of money, I’m very disappointed…
The stem cutouts were pretty unfinished, so stems wouldn't fit. I had to clean up the cuts for it to be actually useful. There are better options out there.
the station works but i was new to lubing when i got this. i learned that it takes forever to lube a large batch of switches and now i do them in groups of 10 to 20 depending on how much time i want to spend on them. it's also hard to get in there to lube with the board full of open switches. i recommend getting a smaller one from my experience.
Putting a bottom switch housing fully into the cutouts squeezes the switch housing. I can see the plastic on some of my houses bending inwards to fit into the cutouts. Removing them afterwards also takes quite a bit of work. I also noticed that not all of them are the same size, as some are harder to press in, and subsequently harder to remove than others.
The only way I've been able to safely put my bottom switch housings on this, is to not even press the housings into the cutouts, but just lightly put the housings where the cutouts are, but this is in no way stable. If I try lubing the housings in this way, the switch housings easily shift and move around, to the point where I'll need to hold down the housing with another tool being used from my left hand.
At this price point, this is just unacceptable quality, and definitely WOULD NOT recommend buying or using at all. There are much better options, at cheaper prices (albeit, probably smaller in size), or even slightly more expensive, but extremely better quality.
