Every other prerelease kit has been $25. Can you please tell us why this is $9 more? FFS.

I'm sure they're charging extra because people will still buy. They sold out despite the high price.

Massdrop has seriously been dropping the ball. War of the Spark Booster Box for $94 and now a prerelease pack for $34. If you can, buy from your LGS. It is basically the same price, you are supporting a place to play and your tax dollars will help your local community. The more we buy from Massdrop at these prices, the more terrible deals they will pitch us.

What happened Massdrop? You've had every other prerelease pack for $25 with free shipping?

"...and two randomized, date-stamped premium promo cards drawn from any rare or mythic rare in the set." The foil planeswalker isn't necessarily rare or mythic; it could also be a foil uncommon, right?

You could go to a prerelease event, and buy your prerelease kit for $20, which came with entry into a tournament, and prizes, etc. This sounds like more of a Massive inflation than a Mass Drop.

I get what you are saying. But you can also buy a bundle which has everything except the stamped rares and has four more booster packs. So, unless you really want the date stamped foils, this doesn’t seem like a deal for most people. But if you are collecting prerelease packs specifically, or just really love stamped foil rares, I don’t think this is a deal for most people.

bigbenmeaigeI agree with that. My friends normally get an extra, but nobody was able to go this time. The pack itself form me creates an environment specific to pre-release and, while I don't specifically collect pre-release packs, I am a huge fan of any Ravnica memorabilia for all of the sets.

MSRP of a pack is $4, and this has 6 packs and a promo pack. $4 * 6 = $24, so at this price, with no discount, the promo pack is valued at $10.
