You're right, but it's not fair to say the N9 is $15.99. I'm nitpicking a bit, but it's $16.99, and plus a good $8 battery (a few bucks more if you need a charger too, I don't know if the N9 has an outlet to charge an 18650) puts you at around $25, which is half the price, not less than a third.
When you're pinching pennies, it can matter.
HoneybadgersI don’t believe the nitecore has a charging port on the body, and the battery included isn’t their more expensive 18650 with a built in USB port for charging.
Take note of the clear disclaimer where Drop informs customers that they are on their own after purchase, and no warranties will be honored.
It does NOT say that? Right, it didn't say that on my purchase either. In fact, the listing link that describes my purchase continues to state "INCLUDED Manufacturer's warranty" (emphasis theirs!) See for yourself https://drop.com/buy/klarus-ar10
(This one only includes the warranty card!)
Drop support, however, continues to state "Warranties do not apply in this case. If there was a manufacturer's warranty, again, Drop would not cover this as we are not the manufacturer."
That's the 'escalated' response. Initial responses were somehow less helpful. I've made multiple purchases from Massdrop and Drop....I'll never be their best customer. I am enthusiastic about a variety of products sold here, and actually open most email promotions they send. Until this issue, it was MY budget, not their service, that limited my enthusiasm.
Twice I needed assistance previously, and they handled it professionally and quickly and as if they cared about a customer.
Evidently, that is no longer the case, and Drop will not hesitate to throw a customer out the airlock over trivial issues.

We are on the same side of this argument, as you remain 100% correct. Rather, what you say is how this should be expected to work.
Marriah, a Drop representative stated, in writing "Warranties do not apply in this case."
Lucine represents Klarus and stated "according to your copy of purchase proof. We are not sure if it is bought from our authorized dealer."
The larger issue, Drop turned a repeat customer into 'tricked'. Over a few bucks of profit.
If you check my recent link, the product listing continues to claim an included warranty.
SpecialEdWe’re only 50% on the same side. Drop is not the manufacturer so is not obliged to honour a manufacturers warranty. If that is what you’re claiming then your issue lies with Klarus...no matter what their representative claims or otherwise.
So what batteries does this come with currently?
The pictures show a 3500mAH rechargeable 18650, and two CR123's... and the 'Details'
list: Battery: 18650 Rechargeable Li-ion battery, CR123
Why do we have such a bad deal here? This is available on Amazon with: a Nitecore 18650 battery (3400mAh) & duty belt holster for only $20 more ($69.96). The batteries *alone* if you can find them are $35+. I guess if you don't mind feeding this thing CR123 batteries all the time, $50 is an alright price... otherwise, hard pass.
