I was lucky enough to get a pre-release review unit from the Drop Keycap Club. These are my own opinions and were not influenced by anyone at Drop. I have to admit, I'm pretty amazed at the amount of detail in this artisan. At first glance, the sculpt is nice, it's well painted and there are no bubbles or imperfections in the resin. However, once you take a closer look, especially in good light, you can see all of the intricate, minute detail that really sets this artisan apart. One example is the mail armor on the skull. Upon closer examination, individual links in the armor become visible. The armor is iridescent, with spots of rust. For me, this level of detail changed a good sculpt into a great one.

This little encapsulated skelly is highly detailed, intricately modeled, and serves wonderfully in his afterlife as my ESC key for the foreseeable future. He traveled to me from New Zealand, and he came with a snazzy sticker of himself that I've affixed to my ammunition case because why not? I'd buy these for all my keys if I could afford it. It also came with a metal case so the cute little skelly couldn't escape and roam around eating brains or learning new weapon skills as part of the ever-proliferating ranks of the dead.

Highly detailed Medieval Fantasy Keycap

I was provided this artisan for review through Drops Keycap Club. This is my own opinion and in no way was did the gift influence my review. I already have one other NZ Keycap in my artisan collection, so I was extremely excited when this showed up in the box for me to review! This artisan is highly detailed! The general sculpt of the model is amazing and well painted. The texture in the chainmail around the skull and the bone/teeth of the skull is a very nice touch and adds to the already amazing quality of the sculpt. Resin casting is beautiful with absolutely no bubbles or imperfections. The keycap has a very World of Warcraft/ Lord of the Rings vibe similar to a Wraith King. The packaging was in a neat metal tin like many other artisan keycaps come. The item did ship fine but would I have felt safer if it would have been in foam in the tin vs the tissue paper it was wrapped in.
