Massdrop jacked up the description again. This is three ply with an aluminum core sandwiched between layers of 18/10 stainless steel.

Let's cut to the chase: this is an aluminum pan; they don't cook like stainless steel (they react poorly with acidic foods) they leach aluminum into the food you cook (aluminum isn't good for you, by the way), and they don't wear very well. Frankly the only places people still use this stuff in undeveloped countries. That may be a little strong, but trust me--money spent on a real stainless steel fry pan or skillet is an investment in both cookware and your health!

Why are they called stainless steel pro fry pans when the frying part is aluminum and the handle is the only thing steel about this pan?
