it appears that Drop no longer mentions the fact that a knife is only for right-handed carry. I wonder why.

Dang, missed out on the green micarta. If anyone gets theirs and decides it's not for them, please hit me up!

I don't see a micarta option available :(

The Penguin, Pelican, Puffin, and Hawk are all really well done, basically perfect build quality for each given price point and style of knife

I just saw the phoenix by QSP and might bite the bullet on that if it comes on drop... They really love their birds, maybe I'll get lucky and they'll make a Jaeger blade too

Ordered. This one checks all my boxes for pocket carry: flipper, light weight, slim, tip up right hand, no thumb studs, good scales, good handle length. I Hope it is built better than the horrible Gerber Flatiron I got previously from Drop.

Yeah, I got a couple other Gerbers that were deeply discounted from other vendors and figured out that Gerber quality is not what I am looking for. But I got them cheap so I can toss them in the truck, or tool box, and not feel bad when I abuse them :)

gerber multitools are pretty decent. just look up the reviews beforehand, but the 'main' tools give you pretty much the same functionality as leatherman really enjoy the gerber dime, arguably just as good as the squirt for 10$ less

man, this hits a lot of what i want in the head, except the handle looks too slim. and sort of wish they had more micarta colors..... but on the other hand, this is preorder and i have mixed feelings about first batch knives. they can come with all sorts of weird unforseen problems, but theres definitely a 'first run' exclusivity about it

I've been eyeballing a full sized grip, sheepsfoot, for about 150. I've just seen it dip lower so I'll bite the bullet when I see that dip again... If not the sheepsfoot, I'd get the Ritter without hesitation

I got my 20CV mini from r/knife_raffles actually, it was my first raffle (I've only won twice, fml) and I've been using it with a Linos kydex sheath as a neck knife The Noryl GTX would definitely be a lighter/better fit for it but whatever, it's a hella capable necklace

Next time, I think. I was just saying that I couldn't justify a watch purchase because I've been buying too many knives; then I went and bought a watch so now I can't justify any more knives for a while. Looks like it would make a good kitchen folder.

What's the point of kitchen folders, I've heard of people doing it often, but a pairing knife just runs circles round a flipper as far as my kitchen is concerned

There's no practical point to keeping a folder in the kitchen. It's just an excuse to use that nice-looking knife I bought because it caught my eye. This particular one looks to have a better blade shape for impromptu slicing and dicing than does the CRKT I have above my sink now.

The flipper tab is what's gonna get me to buy this knife, I think. That and the micarta and 14C Sandvik but I've already got lots of both of those. It's the flipper tab that's a little different and it looks like it may have a couple different ways to actuate it.
I'm kinda feeling it too

Looks beautiful, and the price is right, but shit, I hate liner locks.

It's a Ganzo, one I've had for a while. Let me look it up.... Ganzo G-704.

Anyone seen a review of this knife, or is it too new?

Nothing on google, seems new and nice on paper
This is brand new so there are not any reviews out that I am aware of.
