Clocking in at just under 9 inches long, the Real Steel Crusader is large and ready for tough tasks. For a knife of its stature, it’s relatively slim and lightweight. That’s mostly thanks to the hybrid frame, in which one side is a textured G-10 scale and the other is a stainless steel frame for reliable lockup. As opposed to a flipper tab, the Crusader employs an ovular thumb button for deployment. The button, or “disk,” as Real Steel calls it, is textured and curved like a ramp to catch your finger when opening the blade. The blade is made from corrosion-resistant 14C28N stainless steel with a stonewashed finish. At 3.7 inches long, it tapers to a fine point, but has plenty of belly for slicing.
