Handmade in Pennsylvania by a group of Magic fans looking for a better way to store and transport their cards, the REP Gaming hardshell case was met with enormous praise upon initial release. But after receiving slight criticism due to the handle placement in the Tolarian Community College Review, REP Gaming went back to the drawing board and improved it even further. By moving the handle to the side of the case, it’s now far more portable.
Note: At check out you will have the option to add additional wooden dividing slats to your order (+$5), or a 5 pack of aluminum sideboard dividers (+$10). You will also have the option to choose where you would like the handle to be placed on your case between the side of the case and the top of the case.
The case’s wooden exterior is wrapped in black vinyl with reinforced metal corners, a sturdy handle, and a thick, foam-lined top. Inside, two horizontal slats and three positionable cross slats can accommodate up to 3,500 unsleeved cards—or 2,000 single-sleeved, or 1,680 double-sleeved—in three rows. The case has 42 total inches of storage capacity, and closes securely using two latches.
