The LEADR is the latest gaming mouse in Roccat’s extensive collection. Unlike traditional wireless mice with input lag and poor connection performance, the LEADR revolutionizes the wireless connection with zero lag and virtually zero latency Read More
Love the ergonomics of the mouse. (Tyon owner here)
However, That's a steep asking price for a mouse when the only difference is the new wireless tech and sensor.
Testing it the last couple of days VS many other mice that I have had on my desk I would have to say its worth it and the LeadR & Alumic mouspad combo is unbeatable in my opinion.
Yaderb11I really love the feel of the Zowie EC1-A, I have two, but the damn actuation force is too high IMO. According to Zy, I'm at the lower end of the large hand size but the G403 just fits like a glove.
^^^^^ Not a Logitech employee - just a very pleased user.
I'm seeing a lot of comments with concerns about battery life and buttons. For those of you who want a stellar mouse for much much less, consider Logitech's G602. They just cut the price in half from $80 to $40, it's got 6 thumb-side buttons, and runs for months on two AA batteries. I shit you not. That's on its conservation mode, but you can turn on Endurance mode for more DPI and accuracy. It's 4.3/2400 on Amazon. I have two of them and they're great for getting me through long sessions of Guild Wars 2.
This Roccat LEADR mouse may be a thousand times better for all I know, but for those of us who can't afford to find out (and I know there are a lot of us), the G602 is worth a look. Good luck!

Congrats MassDrop.
Not a big fan of Roccat but it's the first time I'm tempted. So that says something about your pull.
Now do a collaboration with Corsair. :D
BrainFlushThey already make better mice than corsair.
A collaboration with IKBC or Ducky or something to make better keyboards would be a good one, although IKBC and Ducky are already very well regarded with their products.
At this price, I'd say it's trying to compete with the G900 Chaos Spectrum, and that's some tough competition. I guess it does have a different shape, and the included extras are nice, for sure.
SkitTheCritIt is competing, they're two of the best wireless mice now available.
If they hadn't taken like 4 months after announcing to release it, I would have bought this instead of the g900.
SkitTheCritI owned the G900 for exactly 1 week before returning it. Performance is excellent, but its just too small. Granted my hands are huge (going by RJN's hand scale, I'm barely on it) but the g900 feels like happy meal toy in my hands, and I couldnt adjust it whatsoever. Currently use the Roccat Nyth and look forward to playing with this one, as the Tyon (what the Leadr looks to be based off) was a decent size as well.
I had to drop out guys. I just don't think this mouse can replace my g403 wireless (this is too heavy for shooters). I had the Kone Xtd for a day and the software never worked for me.
Yaderb11Yeah it's not for FPS for people who like light mouse (even though I like a heavy mouse) but i can get the 403 wireless for $80 so I just can't justify the extra $60 and I don't use macros
Whoa, 134 grams, why SO heavy?! It looks like a decent do-it-all-okay-but-nothing-great mouse. MMO players who want a good sensor might be tempted if the unique button layout doesn't scare them off. The issue I see with that market is that the vast majority of MMOs are free to play and the cost of this mouse is 1/4+ of what a budget PC build costs.
In the end I just don't know what Roccat was thinking.
BeeeeI bought the Roccat Leadr a while back while looking for a new mouse. I was deciding between the G903 and this, and went with this and don't regret a thing. The button layout is easy to get used to and the extra weight is no issue, it, still feels light as a feather to me. Personally I really enjoy the mouse and consider it worth the cost.
Wait so thisbis the tyon, my favorite mouse of all time, but wireless? Sweet.
Hows the software? Is it using the newer software the new roccat mouses use or the same software as the tyon?
