Made in Rustico’s workshop in Orem, Utah, the Zodiac Night Sky notebook displays the constellations identified by early astrologers and linked to the progression of the seasons. The top-grain cowhide is sourced from American tanners and fitted with an elastic strap closure Read More
Sorry for the crazy question but will a standard A5 fit in this thing. I'm trying to get one that is a standard size instead of needing paper that I don't normally have access to so I can slip in a Rhodia or Leuchtturm or something like that. Thanks.
I can describe the package in one word: disappointment, both constellations and text are barely seen like someone went cheap on printing machine. Not even close to what is shown in overview and I hope these pictures show well enough what are you getting in reality:
DaddyDiBsYeah. I wouldn't call it fountain pen friendly. More like flirty. It's only 70 GSM, but there is no feathering nor bleeding to the next sheet. They're fine to use with fountain pens, but one page per sheet. Rustico sells some "premium" refills. Not sure how they hold up.
Very nice notebook cover, but I am a bit concerned about the refill issue. Without a steady supply of FP friendly paper there's not much use in a nice cover.
Where can we buy the refills? I am giving one as a gift, but would like to gift her with some refills, and would like to be able to tell her where she can purchase more refills. THANKS.
brenda52411Hi Brenda, I went to the Rustico website and looked for refills. I think this one is a Number 9 refill. The refills aren't cheap. I am hopeful that the paper is fountain pen friendly. Have fun!
So this can only be used by someone who owns or is planning on owning a Cahier notebook? The included notebook is lined or graph? Refillable only with Cahier? I love the idea, but I have travels and not Cahier. Guess I'll wait till they can offer more of a variety for those of us who don't want to embark on a whole new notebook, just would like a nice cover for those we already use now.
Oddball notebook size, if the listed dimensions are correct. Looks like it will hold a Midori/Travelers' Company notebook, though.

DermottAgreed... though given that it is just an elastic band holding the notebook, I'm thinking the Moleskine Cahier Large notepads will fit OK at 5x8.25... just an extra 1/16th of the each on the top and bottom.
