If Seeed really wanted to make their kit "Deluxe" they'd use a 24V power supply instead of the usual 19, and a brass cleaner instead of a sponge that can make the tips rust.

Not sure i understand the point in "massdrop" https://www.amazon.com/UY-CHAN-Programmable-Pocket-size-Acceleration/dp/B06XBFTKMY/ $5 more via amazon or $8.51 CHEAPER (if you include the bc2 iron) on aliexpress shipped from USA https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1pc-Free-Shipping-Brand-New-1-Set-Mini-Portable-65W-Programmable-TS100-Electric-Soldering-Iron-Digital/32689219813.html this is pretty common with massdrop, it's like they simply group up people and order from aliexpress for a large profit. Has there ever been a massdrop that was cheaper than retail?

At least their name change reflects the dropping of the ball on discounts now.

They used to be good years ago, but I suspect they've been coopted or "pivoted" towards just using their reputation to sell shit like a regular retailer now rather than doing proper community led drops.

Looks like an interesting iron to add to my bench. One BIG question though... Can the display be inverted for Left Handed Use?

With the custom firmware for the ts-100, the screen orientation should automatically flip if you turn it the other way.

This is just a rebranded MINI TS100, you can find it cheaper on gearbest, or buy its bigger brother, the TS80

Dear customers, Thank you for your always support to Seeed. We would like to say that if only considering price, there must be cheaper price from some copy companies or online shopping mall, which the whole company has 1 or 2 person even without office/technical support. We can't compete with their price. But sometimes, we need consider the warranty, the support or brand and stability of the company. Thanks again for your support.

Thanks both of you, I'll pick up the TS-80 from Aliexpress. Same price as MD for the TS-100 but with free and faster shipping - easy decision for me. It's not like I could take advantage of MD's warranty since I live in Europe anyway.

It's not 1000% better, lmao. TS80 doesn't have the variety of tips available that the TS100 does, and it's limited by the USB standard/hardware currently to ~20W while the TS100 can suck up 50W when you grab the proper power brick. TS100 is better if you're primarily using it from one place (home workbench, etc), TS80 is better if you're in a hobby / profession that has you soldering on the go.
