Seiko 5 SNZG17K1 Automatic Watch

1. I don't like to be the bearer of bad news, but if you purchased this watch through Massdrop there isn't a warranty unless stated in the description, only a 30-day window to return the item to MD. 2. I own a few watches with the 7sxx series caliber in them and I don't hear a clicking sound as the rotor winds the movement. That said, without hearing exactly what your watch is doing, I couldn't say for sure if there's an issue. 3. In regards to the 12 hour power reserve you're getting, at the risk of stating the obvious, are you sure the watch is fully wound? Since the rotor on the 7sxx winds bidirectionally, it's actually a very efficient winder but you do need to be wearing it and moving around a bit for a good 8-10 hours per day. Short of that, and knowing that you can't handwind this movement, just hold the watch in your hand with the dial facing upwards, and swing it in a side to side arc for 5-10 minutes. That should fully wind the spring. If you're still seeing only a 12 hour reserve after doing that, then I'm afraid the movement might have some issues. With the massive number of watches that Seiko makes, and largely by automated means, lemons do slip by QC from time to time; the law of averages in effect. Good luck.
