Hey guys, anybody interested in getting SMSL P1 Linear Power Supply for M8 / VA2 ??
It has been said P1 vastly improves performance of M8 and VA2 over the cheap included wallwart.
I would be happy to get one for my SMSL M8 if Massdrop could do P1 drop for under $100.

brainwaveI already ordered an iFi iPower (9VDC) for $49.00 from MusicDirect or I may have been interested in this. Shipping wait on the iFi is even worse than MassDrop though - 4-6 weeks they say, and that is an "estimated ship date". It's been 5 1/2 weeks now and still no word, so if the SMSL P1 becomes available here before they send it I may just sign up for one. It's certainly more attractive than the iFi, which just looks like a massive wall wart (because it is one). I'd need to read some reviews and comparisons first, though.
EDIT: 6/24 Just got word my i-Fi has shipped, 6 weeks since ordering. Kind of like Massdrop :)

travelinjackUse a step up transformer 110/220v. That's my plan. You could also get the iFi iPower and keep it simple. ;)

VolvoSpeedV70RMy experience with transformers and voltage adapters has been less than grand. Keep it simple and don't buy into the Head Fi clean power craziness.

travelinjackSorry to hear of your experiences with Transformer's and Voltage adapters. They can be a bit frustrating if there not grounded properly. I bought into the Head Fi craziness a long time ago when I decided to seek out listening to music at its purest... Thanks for the feedback!!

VolvoSpeedV70RThe iFi iPower looks like a good way to go. If I thought the sound of the M8 was lacking with the standard power supply, I would strongly consider it.
