Does anyone know if I can boil water with the single wall on a electric stove top?

Absolutely. My wife and I carry our titanium sporks and some sort of cup or thermos like our Klean Kanteens almost everywhere in order to avoid disposable utensils and cups. Every little bit helps.

Great idea. I use my 450 everyday, multiple times a day for my coffee and tea. It’s convenient to be able to throw it on the stove top if your coffee gets cool. It’s very difficult to find the single wall 600 in Canada from some reason, so I had to jump on this drop. 😋 I also use my LMF titanium spork and ReVolt headlamp regularly at home.

anonomous1234I don't find the double wall mug cheaper on amazon. It appears that way but the size is 300 for the mug that is 38.00.

I've been using this cup plus a spork/spoon as my cooking kit since 2010. I overheated it once when I let it go dry on the stove, don't recall the details but it was a moment of perfect stupidity, resulting in oil-canning of the bottom. Got home from the trip, put it on the kitchen stove to overheat again, dropped it into a sink full of cold water to heat shrink it, and the oil canned bottom was fixed. As you can tell, I've really abused this thing and it doesn't look like new at all, but it sure behaves like new.

FYI, the snow peak 600 won't nest with the standard 32oz(1L) Nalgene bottle. If you need it to nest a Nalgene, go for the Trek 700 or Ti-Mini Solo Combo.

Is anyone else interested in the double wall mug? I would love one to keep my morning camp brew hot. I don't know if it has been dropped before.

Colty001I have both a single and double wall snow peak and use the double wall much more. The single wall gets very hot to the touch but isn't the nice hand-warming I hoped. It does function great as a solo UL single-vessel solution for cooking/eating/drinking, but if I'm bringing a larger pot or kettle for a group of 2+, the doublewall is my choice. If I'm tight for space, I do like that my partner's REI Ti doublewall mug nests in the 600mL single wall but doesn't fit in the 450mL doublewall (The snow peak 600mL single and 450mL double wall mugs are about the same dimensions on the outside, but the second wall extends inward, lowering capacity)

Colty001I have the double wall and it is one of my luxury items for when I go backpacking. Having that hot cup of coffee stay nice and hot as I sip away, sitting by a clear calm in the cool morning, nothing better.

will the 600 mug fit inside a snow peak trek 900 with the lid on?

RoylYes, the single wall 600 fits within the 900 with or the without the lid with room to spare.

My 600 will even slip down into my 700. At first I was afraid it was too snug (due to the handles) and I might have trouble pulling it back out. It pulls back out fine though.

BTW, I have an older "right-handed?" 600. (Logo/advertisement facing forward when drinking right-handed)

Using a Snow Peak double wall 450 on a daily basis for the past 2 years...still looking like brand new.
Bought a 600ml double wall as back up two months back but still have no use for it as yet.
Great stuff...imo worth every penny!

ShyanDo you cook in your cup over an open flame? I own the 450 but find it to be a bit small. What would you say is your primary use for your cup?

ShyanI'm using a double wall cup, so that's unsuitable for cooking.
I used them while in travelling but now they are being used for almost anything, except when I'm making myself a big cup of hot chocolate 😂
